The Very Reverend Archimandrite Anthimos Stamou, born Euthymios, was born in Krini, Trikala, on September 27, 1985, where he also attended the first stages of Primary Education (Elementary – Junior High School). He completed his secondary education at the Unified Ecclesiastical High School of Volos. In 2003, he was admitted to the Higher Ecclesiastical Academy of Thessaloniki, Department of Priesthood Studies, from which he graduated in 2009. He was ordained Reader in 2001 by the late Metropolitan of Trikka and Stagoi, Kyr Alexios. He served his military duty in the Special Forces as a Commando (2006–2007). In 2015, he received a Master’s degree in Theology from Charter University. In 2023, he obtained a Doctorate in Philosophy with a specialization in Parapsychology from the same University. In 2025, he received a Master’s degree in Methodology of Teaching Foreign Languages in an Intercultural Environment from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.”

He participated in the 5th International Conference of the Ecumenical Patriarchate on Pastoral Care in the Field of Health. He holds a certificate of completion of a training program from the Pastoral Training Foundation of the Archdiocese of Athens, entitled “Organization and Administration of the Parish – Service to Fellow Human Beings.”

In 2003, he received a Diploma in Byzantine Music from the School of Byzantine Ecclesiastical Music of the Holy Metropolis of Demetrias. He holds a Diploma in English (Certificate of Proficiency in English, level C2). He also holds a Computer Literacy Diploma (five modules) from the Certification Authorities EOPPEP and ESYD.

He was tonsured a monk at the Holy Monastery of Saint Theodora, under the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki, on April 1, 2022. On the following day, April 2, he was ordained Deacon by the late Metropolitan of Metrai and Athyra, Kyr Dimitrios, at the Holy Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Thessaloniki. On April 10, 2022, he was ordained Priest by the late Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, Kyr Anthimos, at the same church and was granted the rank of Archimandrite.

Since 2008, he has been the Director of the Student Residence of Panagia Dexia, under the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki. From April 11, 2022, to April 23, 2023, he served as Parish Priest at the Holy Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Thessaloniki. During the same period, he also hosted spiritual programs on the parish’s online radio station, Radio Thavor. On April 24, 2023, he was appointed Parish Priest of the Holy Church of Saint Basil in Nea Elvetia, Thessaloniki, where he continues to serve to this day.

He is the president of the Parish Council, the Fundraising Committee, and the Parish Philoptochos Fund, and is also responsible for the spiritual work and youth ministry of the Holy Church of Saint Basil in Nea Elvetia, Thessaloniki.
